Anua Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner: who it suits

Updated October 18, 2026. 3 min read.

Anua’s Heartleaf 77 Soothing Toner is one of the most widely bought Korean toners outside Korea. Here is what it is and who is most likely to like it.

Skincare has nothing to do with your color type. Choose it by your skin type and what you want to change.

What heartleaf is

Heartleaf is the common name for Houttuynia cordata, a plant used in East Asian herbal traditions. In Korean skincare it is used in products that aim to calm the look of redness and irritation. The “77” in the name refers to the share of heartleaf extract in the formula, according to the brand.

What it is like to use

It is a watery toner. You pat it in after cleansing and before serum. It sinks in quickly and does not leave a sticky film, which is why people with oily skin often like it in hot weather.

Who it suits

  • Oily or combination skin that wants hydration without weight.
  • Skin that turns red easily and reacts to strong products.
  • People building a first routine, because it is simple and hard to misuse.

If your skin is very dry, it will probably not be enough on its own. Follow it with a cream, or look at the hyaluronic version from the same line.

Before you buy

The toner comes in several sizes. Check the volume on the listing, since listings sometimes default to a different size than the one in the photo.
